Company History

Soundweld was officially registered as a company on 29th August 1967 trading under the ownership of
Mr R C Badcock and Mr K J Clews. The work carried out in the early years was mainly concerned with light engineering contracts and the occasional repair of a cracked bell.

During 1985, Mr Badcock left the employment of the Welding Institute at Abington to concentrate on running Soundweld as a full time business. The level of work continued to increase and in 1986 Mark Strupczewski was invited to join the company with a view to taking over the day to day running of the business and upon Mr Badcock’s retirement in 1996, the whole company.
