Royal Opera House,
Covent Garden

These bells were repaired thanks to Whitechapel Bell Foundry recommending our work.

There were 3 bells that needed repairing. They are used in performances of Tosca and Romeo and Juliet.

Back

The bells had been damaged over many years of being hit in the wrong place.
The orchestra pit at the opera house is very dark during the performance hence the problems with hitting the bells in the right place.
After repair the bells were painted with luminous paint and copper hammers provided to hit them with.
We hope these measures will ensure many more years of service for these bells.
